Het heeft even geduurd, maar hier is de volgende uitleg.

De bladeren van de Iris heb ik in 2 kleuren groen gedaan. Niet te zien op de foto’s, want ik had ze eerst in 1 kleur. Later heb ik een deel opnieuw gedaan.
Puntige bladen begin ik altijd in de punt, ook waar de knik zit begin ik vanaf de punt naar beneden.
Ik heb ze geborduurd in diagonal layer met 1 F.

De volgende stap is de stengel van de Iris. Ik heb een dunne karayori gemaakt, 1/1 TT, en deze vastgezet met een couching in de zelfde kleur ( 1/2 T)

Het laatste is het water. Zilver #1 half hitched, de techniek is line of held thread. Als couching heb ik zilver genomen, die heb ik kant en klaar op voorraad.

En hier is het eindresultaat, klaar voor gebruik. Voortaan kan mijn kussentje met naalden netjes opgeruimd worden.

It took me a while, but here is some more explanation.

The leaves of the Iris are done in 2 shades of green. You can’t see this in the photo’s, because I did them in one clour at first. Later I did part of the leaves again.
These pointy leaves I stitch from the top, Where the fold is I also start from the top.
I used diagonal layer and 1 F.

The next step is the stem of the Iris. I used a thin karayori, 1/1 TT, and held it down with couching in the same colour (1/2T).

And than I stitched some water. Silver #1 Half hitched, technique is line of held thread. As couching thread I used silver, which I have ready to use in my stack.

And this is the endresult. From now on I can store my needlecushion nice and tidy.
